While I was shopping at American Rag in Los Angeles, the workers had an incense lit in the store and I overheard them saying it was “the Hinoki one.” Instead of asking what it was, I searched through various brands they carry and finally traced it back to these. I was super stoked I found them. They’re perfect for a cozy rainy evening where you can leave the windows open and listen to the rain and relax.

The scent and staying power of this incense is marvelous. Really has made my source feel more beautiful and restful.

The only flaw is the packaging. While pretty to look at, it’s a bit fragile and quite wasteful. The glass jar would make sense if you could order refills of the incense cones and keep using the jar. As it is however, it is not durable enough to reuse for other purposes. When I tried to scrub off the label to use for clips, the tint scrubbed off.

I’d love this more if once a month I wasn’t throwing a glass jar into the landfill.

I’ll likely keep ordering because it’s a beautiful scent, but I’d feel better without the packaging issue.

I also bought Saffron and Oud and they are both amazing. I can't decide which one I preffer. It's so relaxing, I want my home to smell like that all the time!
